Zinc futures fall on reduced demand

Zinc futures traded lower by Rs 1.05 to Rs 184.70 per kg on Friday as speculators reduced exposure at the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity exchange, zinc contracts for October slipped 0.57 per cent, or Rs 1.05, to Rs 184.70 per kg in a business turnover of 574 lots.

For November contracts, zinc futures reduced by Rs 1.15, or 0.61 per cent, to Rs 186.95 per kg in a business turnover of 1,732 lots.

Cutting down of bets by speculators mainly led to fall in price of zinc futures, traders said.
