Accor Group Unveils First Mercure Hotel In India

The first Mercure hotel in India has been launched following the official re-branding of the Guestline Hotel Mumbai to Mercure Hotel Guestline Juhu, Mumbai. The hotel joins a network of over 450 Mercure hotels in the global Accor group.
The launch of the Mercure brand in India is a result of a partnership between Accor and Mahindra & Mahindra.
Accor also manages two other hotels for the Accor Mahindra joint venture in India: Guestline Hotels in Tirupati and Bangalore, which will also eventually join the Mercure network after refurbishment.

Accor operates some 3,300 hotels worldwide under the brands Sofitel, Novotel, Mercure and Ibis. Accor's other global tourism services include car rental, travel agency and corporate services.
In India, Accor also operates Europcar under a franchise agreement and in the last two years has introduced its ticket restaurant and ticket premium gift voucher business which is utilised by 11 million daily users globally, an official statement from the company said.
The Mercure Hotel Guestline Juhu was launched following extensive refurbishment of the hotel, which included investment in the upgrade of both the exterior and interior of the hotel including the public areas, restaurants and lobby.
The new stylishly-decorated guest rooms are complemented by a club lounge for rooms on the Club Floor, a hi-tech gym and Health Club, swimming pool, alfresco rooftop Italian restaurant, and quality banquet and meeting facilities.
The hotel is located in a prime position, close to Juhu Beach, with convenient access to both the city centre and airports.
The Mercure hotel brand is Accor's largest, with Mercure hotels found in city centres, key regional locations and resort areas. Each Mercure has its own style and character and is designed to reflect the essence of the region in which it operates.
Mercure Guestline Juhu will follow the Mercure tradition of offering a Grand Vin list, featuring a wide choice of French, Italian and Chilean wines at the hotel's restaurant, Ambrosia. Highlighting the local region, Ambrosia will also display arts and crafts from around India, the statement said.
