Bangla Offered $700m Investments

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said on Sunday that foreign investors had offered 30 billion taka ($700 million) to Bangladesh, and appealed to opposition political parties to maintain stability.
We have got huge investment offers. We could draw the attention of foreign investors in a short time. Now the opposition should not do anything that might destabilise the investment climate, newspapers yesterday quoted her as telling a rally in southwestern Jessore town. Political stability is a must for economic development, and all should try their best to ensure that, she said.
