Beedi Workers

The Union labour ministry has chalked out a 20-point welfare package for the 4.5 million beedi workers in the country to provide them proper health care, social security and housing facilities. The health schemes include static-cum-mobile allopathic dispensaries and static ayurvedic dispensaries and reservation of beds in tuberculosis hospitals for the workers. ministry sources said.
