Boeing Says Fix Found For 777 Cargo Alarms

Boeing said in a statement released here that the fix will be certified by the US Federal Aviation Administration in mid-October.

More than a dozen passengers were injured in June during an emergency evacuation of a Cathay Pacific 777 which had just landed in Hong Kong. The false fire alarm is thought to have been caused by its belly cargo which included live frogs
