Chargesheet Filed In Fodder Scam

The chargesheet named six offenders: S B Sinha, Sitaram Singh, Nagendra Shah, Chandrashekhar Prasad, Mahendra Prasad and Braj Bhusan Prasad in a special case no 37/96.

They have been charged under several sections of the Indian Penal Code and

the Prevention of Corruption Act.

The case related to deflection and illegal withdrawal of Rs 3 lakh from the Purnea district treasury in north Bihar.

Meanwhile, the CBI special judge rejected the bail petition of another key accused R K Ranan, a Janata Dal MLA and a provisional bail petition of Congress legislators, Jagdish Sharma.
