Dhanvantari Award

Renowned physician and the pioneer of nuclear medicine in the country, Ramchandra Dattatraya Lele, has been nominated for the Dhanvantari Award for 1997. The award would be presented to Lele here on October 26, Dhanvantari Foundation president B K Goyal said here yesterday. Lele is the chief physician and director of nuclear medicine at Jaslok Hospital and director of the Centre for Computer Applications in Medical Science, Mumbai.
