Draft To Actualise Indo-Africa Trade Potential

The strategy would entail more joint ventures with African nations in areas like commercial farming and would help in resolving the problem of blocked funds, minister of state of commerce and industry Omar Abdullah said at the African round table, organised by Associated Chambers of Commerce and industry (Assocham) here on 4 May. The minister said that the present low trade situation was due to shortage of foreign exchange and payment problems, non availability of commercial information of African region, and lack of awarness about Indian products of international quality in africa, according to Assocham statement said.
