Greater Indo-Eu Trade Sought

Commerce secretary P P Prabhu yesterday sought increased bilateral cooperation in economic and trade sectors with the European Union (EU). He said the EU nations were economically important to India both as the countrys largest trading partner and as a prime investor.

Indias overall share in the EUs global trade was meagre at less than two per cent and needed to be corrected for healthy growth of the two-way trade, he said.
