Haryana Corp Net Up 41.6%

The Haryana State Small Industries & Export Corporation has recorded a 47 per cent increase in turnover to Rs 200 crore in 1996-97. Turnover stood at Rs 136.20 crore during the previous corresponding period, said state industries minister Shashi Pal Mehta. Net profit rose from Rs 36 lakh to Rs 51 lakh, up 41.6 per cent. The corporation has been granted `Export House status from April 1, 1997, for a period of three years. As a result, it will be able to export furniture, laboratory equipment, garments, leather products and basmati rice on a large scale.
