Hillary Cleared In Fbi Files Case

US FIRST Lady Hillary Clinton was yesterday cleared over a scandal in which the White House obtained hundreds of FBI background files on former Republican Party-appointed staff.
Independent Counsel Robert Ray also found no wrong-doing by senior officials in the Presidential staff.
The probe was started by Kenneth Starr, who later led the Monica Lewinsky investigation.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation files case caused controversy in the mid-1990s, when it emerged the office of Democrat President Bill Clinton had acquired files on 900 staff, who served under his predecessors George Bush and Ronald Reagan.
Clinton blamed a bureaucratic bungle by a low-ranking staffer.
Ray agreed in the as yet unpublished report, according to a statement. He ended the probe after finding no evidence that Clinton, his wife or other senior staff had acted illegally. Hillary Clinton is campaigning for the New York State Senate seat.
