Net Rises 68% At Rs 63 Cr

Bharat Forge has posted a 22.29 per cent rise in net sales to Rs 582.84 crore in fiscal ended March 2000 as against Rs 476.60 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. Net profit shot up by 67.79 per cent to Rs 62.62 crore from Rs 37.32 crore. The earning per share works out to Rs 16.40 (Rs 9.91). The company has decided to maintain the interim dividend of 50 per cent as final.

Export turnover grew by 49.13 per cent reaching a record high of Rs 110.82 crore in fiscal 1999-2000 from Rs 74.31 crore in the previous year.
