Pivotals Decline Further Due To Lack Of Buying Support

Pivotals declined further on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) following selling pressure from foreign and domestic institutional investors.
The NSE-50 opened at 890.19, touched a high of 894.40, before reaching a low of 878.29 and closed at 881.57, losing 8.56 points over the previous close of 890.13. The net traded value was Rs 957 crore, while net traded quantity was 488.89 lakh shares.
The top five actively traded scrips were SBI (Rs 305.11 crore), ITC(Rs 284.77 crore), Tisco (Rs 119.18 crore), Reliance Ind (Rs 114.90 crore) and BSES (Rs 24.11 crore).
Hectic activity was also observed at the counters led by L&T (Rs 20.09 crore), Telco (Rs 15.98 crore), ACC (Rs 14.25 crore),
Bajaj Auto (Rs 4.34 crore), Gujarat Ambuja (Rs 3.85 crore), Tata Power (Rs 3.49 crore), MTNL (Rs 3.17 crore), Bank of Rajasthan (Rs 2.65 crore), Indian Rayon (Rs 2.39 crore) Oriental Bank (Rs 2.12 crore), IPCL (Rs 2.09 crore), Indo Gulf Fertilisers (Rs 1.30 crore), Lakme Ltd (Rs 1.26 crore), ICICI (Rs 1.12 crore),

The top five gainers were Nova Iron and Steel, Sharat Seafoods, Synthetics and Chemicals, Gujarat Ambuja Proteins and Hind Syntex while the top five losers were Kraft Indus, Autoriders Finance, Harig Crankshafts, Pittie Finance and Oriental Containers.
Meanwhile, shares also declined further on the OTCEI due to lack of buying support from investors.
