Sahara Lines Up Rs 300-Crore Expansion Plan

The helicopters to be acquired from the French manufacturer, Euro-copter, will operate on feeder routes like Jaipur-Ajmer, Patna-Bodh Gaya and Jammu-Vaishnodevi on a commercial basis. In the beginning, however, these copters will operate as chartered flights. The five 50-seater aircraft will take over feeder routes like Delhi-Lucknow.

"The hub-and-spoke concept will hence be introduced in the country. The 737s will operate on trunk routes like Delhi-Mumbai, Delhi-Bangalore, and the 50-seater aircrafts will fill these flights by passengers from other areas.
