Sewage Plants

The government will consider providing 50 per cent capital subsidy to states for existing as well as new sewage treatment plants. States have been asked to incorporate energy recovery component for sewage plants by the ministry of non-conventional energy sources. They have also been asked to formulate liberal policies for attracting private investment in waste to energy projects.
