Titan To Sponsor Cricket Triangular

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)secretary, Jagmohan Dalmiya said here yesterday that the tournament would be known as the Titan Cup. Dalmiya said that Pepsi would be the sponsors of the one-day international match between India and South Africa on December 14 at Mumbai, which is the benefit match of former test cricketer Mohinder Amarnath. The sponsors of this one-day wanted the match to be christened as The Pepsi Challenge.
Shaw Wallace continue to be the sponsors of the tests and three-day matches between India and Australia as well as between India and South Africa to be played between October and December. These matches will be identified by the famous brand of Shaw Wallace Director's Special, Dalmiya said.
Dalmiya said that while Shaw Wallace and Pepsi have been associated with cricket sponsorship for quite some time now, Titan was a new entrant in the field.Titan was recently voted the most admired consumerdurable marketing company in India, making waves in the international watch market, especially in Europe, the Middle East and the Far East. Close on the heels of its successful launch in Australia, Titan has been preparing itself for a major launch in South Africa.
