Tn To Supply Power To Kerala At Rs 2.10 A Unit

Tamil Nadu will charge Rs 2.10 per unit for power being supplied to Kerala from last night at the rate of 100 mw per day for two weeks, according to a memorandum of understanding signed yesterday.
The Kerala State Electricity Board will make an advance of Rs 5 crore in a couple of days and settle the bill at the end of the agreement period for the actual supply.

The talks were held as a follow-up to Sundays decision by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi to supply power to the neighbouring state to help it tide over the current crisis, a Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) press release said yesterday.
