Vijaya Bank Hikes Term Deposits, Nr(E) Rates

Vijaya Bank has hiked its interest rates on domestic term deposits and non-resident (external) rupee term deposits. The new rates would take effect from February 16.
An interest of nine per cent would be paid for domestic term deposits for a maturity period of 30 days to 45 days, 12.5 per cent for 46 days to 60 days, 11 per cent per for 61 days up to one year, 11.5 per cent for over one year up to three years and 12.5 per cent for over three years, a bank press release said here yesterday.
Vijaya Bank offered 11 per cent per annum for non-resident (external) rupee term deposits having maturity period of six months to one year, 11.5 per cent for over one year up to three years and 12.5 per cent for over three years, the release said.

The rate of interest offered by the bank for non-resident non-repatriable rupee term deposits would continue to be 12.5 per cent.
The hike in interest rates announced by the bank were applicable to all fresh deposits and on renewal of maturing deposits.
