Bharti Q3 consolidated net zooms 71%

Bharti Tele-Ventures today reported a 71% increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 543.53 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2005 as against Rs 317.58 crore in Q3FY05.

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today,  total income increased to Rs 3,045.15 crore in Q3FY06 from Rs 2,171.57 crore in Q3FY05.

The board of directors today approved the change of name of the company from Bharti Tele-Ventures to Bharti Airtel subject to the approval of shareholders and the Registrar of Companies and other regulatory authorities, the release added.
