CII-NTTF to train ITI staff

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Karnataka government's directorate of employment and training (DET), to organise a training programme for ITI teachers.
 
According to the MoU, NTTF (Nettur Technical Training Foundation), a member of CII, will impart vocational training in electronics, mechanical and computer engineering with the support from DET to train ITI teachers.
 
CII-NTTF has also agreed to co-operate and assist DET in becoming the implementing agency of the skill development programme for ITI Teachers in Karnataka.
 
NTTF has agreed to identify and recommend suitable training programmes in consultation with similar institutes in Karnataka for the upgradation of ITI teachers in Karnataka.
 
Programmes will be conducted at NTTF facilities at Peenya and Electronic City in Bangalore and Dharwad. The phase I of the training will cover 100 ITI teachers.
 
The MoU was signed by Daljit Mirchandani, chairman, CII Karnataka on behalf of CII and C N Seetharam, Director - Employment and Training.
