Telecom service providers like Tata Indicom, Vodafone and Airtel are gearing up with new offers targeting the festive season to boost market share.
While Tata Indicom has launched handsets priced at as low as Rs 699, Airtel has launched a host of post-paid packs for the post-paid subscriber.
Vodafone, on its part, has announced night-long event, christened Agomoni, to usher in the festive mood from Mahalaya. Vodafone will also offer value-added-services (VAS) targeting the festivities.
Tata Indicom has launched three new handsets, Haier C2020 for Rs 699, Haier 3010 black and white handset with FM for Rs 799, and Huwaei 2905 colour handset with FM for Rs 1299. Tata Indicom is also giving attractive and assured gift with every new connection, that includes 'Dhaka Calling Card' for Rs 100 and Rs 200 denomination with full talktime. Users can call anywhere in Bangladesh at Rs 6 per minute.
A new recharge voucher, priced at Rs 450, will also be introduced, that comes with 1000 minutes free local talktime to any mobile and 450 local SMS free. This voucher is valid for a period of two months from the date of recharge. Tata Indicom will also embark on an aggressive advertising strategy to highlight Pujor Kotha across all mediums.

Airtel, on its part, has introduced postpaid packs in Kolkata, Bengal, Sikkim and Andaman.
The postpaid packs are priced at Rs 49, Rs 51, Rs 76, Rs 90 and Rs 95, providing customers free SMSs, local mobile calls at 30p, 50p, etc.
Vodafone’s Puja celebrations include Puja Privilege booklets for post-paid customers. The booklets contain privilege tie-ups with 88 premium outlets across West Bengal. Customers can shop, eat out and benefit from these exclusive discount offers. Vodafone will also offer VAS products which comprise a puja pack priced at Rs 30 and a caller tune puja pack priced at Rs 50.
These showcase Puja music cards, ringtones and caller tunes of Bangla Dhak and Mahalaya Shloke.
