Handy, but just another mobile wallet

Even as cashless business transactions become the new rage and mobile wallets proliferate, Transerve has launched its wallet app Udio.

Udio brings with it handy peer-to-peer transactions within a highly social, community-driven and secure payment structure. The app comes with a simple, neat user interface (UI), and tangy red theme, which makes it quite eye-catching. Udio lets you recharge your DTH (direct-to-home) connections and mobile phones, among other bills.

The user can send vouchers or coupons to friends or family. Udio also supports Flipkart, Jabong, Pizza Hut, amongt a few other platforms. The payment method is simple, and one who is familiar with mobile wallets will have no problem using the app.

 

A noteworthy feature is the option to split bills, a saviour for the post-lunch dilemmas with friends. For merchants who do not accept mobile wallets, Udio also offers a prepaid card. The app is available as a free download from the Google Play Store.   

Overall, Udio is just another option in the rapidly growing range of mobile wallets. If it wants to make a mark, it needs to come up with something unique.
