HCL Infosystems' consolidated net profit dipped by 7.3 per cent to Rs 81.48 crore for the third quarter ended March 31, 2008, from Rs 87.98 crore registered during the previous comparable period.

</p><p class='TableClas'>Sequentially, the company's net profit remained flat and revenues slipped by 9 per cent from Rs 3,288 crore.
</p><p class='TableClas'>Ajai Chowdhry, chairman and CEO , HCL Infosystems, said, "The systems integration (SI) business is lumpy and it will take some years to smoothen out. Also, the retail market was slow last month, but we still expect our SI business to grow by 50-70 per cent."
</p><p class='TableClas'>Revenues from the telecommunications and office automation business fell by 1.9 per cent to Rs 2,185.75 crore (Rs 2,226.11 crore). </P></p><p class='TableClas'></p></table>
