Indium Software gets $1 mn funding from IRIS Capital

| Indium Software, a provider of software test automation and quality engineering solutions, has announced that it has secured around $1 million (Rs 4.45 crore) funding from IRIS Capital Ventures for its technology and market expansion programme. |
| Raghunandan, chief executive officer, Indium Software, said that Indium is ensuring repetitive and repeatable quality for areas as diverse as enterprise applications to high-tech like wireless, network and voice over internet protocol. |
| Ajit Isaac, director, IRIS Capital, said with the investment in a company, it is now well-poised to take advantage of the new opportunities in software test automation space. |
| Indium will use the new capital to establish two centres of excellence "" wireless or network datcomm and enterprise application "" in Chennai, which has a huge potential in terms of improved infrastructure. |
| These centres are aimed at strategically moving customers to an offsite or off-shore quality model. The centres will aim to become world-class independent pre-certification bodies in the chosen technology areas. |
