MTNL Q3 net down 33%

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (MTNL) today reported a 33% decline in net profit at Rs 127.03 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2005 when compared with Rs 190.39 crore in Q3FY05.

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, total income declined from Rs 1,389.44 crore in Q3FY05 to Rs 1,362.02 crore in Q3FY06.

The board has declared an interim dividend of 30%, the release added.
