| Reliance Communications (RCom) has entered into a strategic alliance with Taiwan handset manufacturer HTC Corporation to promote next generation CDMA handsets in India. |
| Giving a headstart, it has launched two data-enabled handsets "" HTC P3000 and HTC S720 "" exclusively for the RCom subscribers. |
| "The alliance with HTC is in line with our strategy to provide high-end devices empowering Reliance customers to access email, internet and data applications on the move. HTC's technological edge and Reliance's in-depth consumer insight would enable us to continuously offer top-of-the-line handsets catering to the emerging trend in the Indian telecom landscape," RCom President S P Shukla said. |
| Under the alliance, HTC handsets will be exclusively provided for Reliance Communications network. HTC already offers 9 handsets in the country and plans to launch more models on the RCom network. |
