Servion plans expansion in India, US

Servion Global Solutions, a customer interaction management solutions provider, has announced expansion of its operations in India and the US. It also plans to hire over 100 professionals in the next quarter.
 
The company has set up a new 11,000 sq ft facility, which will have a seating capacity for about 150 people, on the IT corridor at Taramani, Chennai. It has also opened new facilities in New Jersey and California in the US.
 
The company's expansion comes on the back of its three major customer wins in the last quarter.
 
"We will require huge expansion in terms of people to support our growth," a company official told Business Standard. The company is also planning to acquire more space in Chennai.
 
"The pipeline is pretty strong and we expect to ramp-up our India operations further by the end of 2006. We plan to increase our employee strength to 460 by the second quarter and expand this further by the year-end," K Balakrishnan, managing director and chief executive officer, Servion, said in a release.
 
As part of its expansion in Chennai, the company will shift its global development organisation and overseas software development teams to the new facility.
 
This Chennai-headquartered company employs about 360 professionals across various offices globally.
