| Sonodyne Electronics Co Pvt Ltd , India has prepared a prototype of disaster alarm system which will be installed on the Indian coastline very soon. |
| This system will alert the coast guards if any disaster like Tsunami is striking the coastal region. |
| The company, which is manufacturing amplifiers, speakers and signal processing solutions in home audio, installed sound, public address and cinema sound, is now negotiating with software companies and the central government to install the system at the earliest. |
| After much research and development, the company has manufactured its hardware portion and is looking for software company, informed Anindya Mukherjee, vice-president of Sonodyne International Ltd. He said that the prototype of the system will be displayed to the Department of Science and Technology (DST) by June 2006 for approval. |
| The company is also doing research on various such projects, said Mukherjee during the inauguration of Sonodyne Listening Room in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. |
| Talking about the Listening Room, Mukherjee said that it will have an entire range of amplifiers and speakers displayed in an exclusive and elegant musical space. |
| "This is the second listening room of the company in the country and other two listening rooms will be developed in Mumbai and Kolkata, each, by March 2006," said Mukherjee. |
| "The range of our products starts from Rs 20,000 to Rs 2 lakh. And we have national tie-ups for sound reinforcement with several super mall chains like Pantloons, Big Bazaar, Shoppers Stop, Cafe Coffee Day among others," said Mukherjee. The company's turnover is about Rs 35 crore. "The company is growing at a pace of 30 per cent every year," explained Mukherjee. |
| He maintained that of the total sale, the company's ratio of export is 60 per cent. |
| Mukherjee said that currently the company is exporting its devices in around 40 countries including China, Australia, some US and European countries. |
