To coincide with the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour, Sony Ericsson has launched a 'Limited Edition' collection of tennis camera phones. These were unveiled by Indian tennis star Sania Mirza and other Sony Ericsson WTA Tour players here on Monday.

Releasing the special edition phones, Sudhin Mathur, general manager, Sony Ericsson India said, "On January 5, 2005 Sony Ericsson and the WTA jointly announced a six-year partnership for Sony Ericsson to become worldwide title sponsor. The Sony Ericsson WTA Tour is Sony Ericsson's first major global sponsorship worth $88 million."

"This association is aimed at exploring a range of opportunities that can integrate technology, design, music, sport and fashion into a compelling entertainment proposition for consumers," he added.

The Sony Ericsson WTA Tour limited edition mobile handsets are embedded with unique customised content in the form of wallpapers of leading stars at the tour. Handsets available as part of this campaign are the K750i, the K600i, the Z520i, the K700i and the K300i.

The Sony Ericsson WTA Tour begins in January and includes 63 events in 35 countries, and concludes in November with the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour Championships in Madrid.
