| US-based BPO firm Sutherland Global Services has announced that it has ramped up the total headcount at its Kochi facility to over 600 within five months after the facility became operational. |
| With this expansion, the total headocunt of the company in India has gone up to over 8,000, which accounts for over 50 per cent of Sutherland's Global headcount, said a company statement. |
| In March, the company had announced that it would be hiring 3,000 professionals over the next three years for its Kerala operations. The company was planning to build its service delivery centre in Kochi, considering the availability of a large talent pool and robust infrastructure, which are expected to provide the company the advantage of cost, scalability and more importantly, value across the spectrum of services. |
| The company has six facilities in Chennai and one in Mumbai. Chennai is the headquarters for its Asia-Pacific operations. |

| The company plans to hire 1,000 professionals to take its total headcount in the Philippines to over 3,000 in the next 12 months. |
| Sutherland's service portfolio includes process consulting, back office processing, technology support, customer care and account management services. |
