The Balaghat Lok Sabha Constituency of MADHYA PRADESH state is currently held by Bodhsingh Bhagat of BJP. In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Bodhsingh Bhagat beat Hina Likhiram Kawre of CONGRESS by receiving 43.20 per cent of the votes cast in this constituency.

Balaghat is one of the constituencies in 29-seat Madhya Pradesh. The constituency had seen a 68.31% voter turnout in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. In Balaghat the male voter turnout was 69.48% and 67.12% female voters turned out for voting. K. Choudhary (Munna Bhaiya), Nandlal Uikey, Laxminarayan Dehariya, Vivek Mishra (Lalu Bhaiya), Smt. Hirasan Uikey, Shankar Kansre Lodhi (Samaj Sewak), Sukharam Astkar Lanji, Sandeep Soni . The participation of women candidates in this seat was 4.
