The Pune Lok Sabha Constituency of MAHARASHTRA state is currently held by Anil Shirole of BJP. In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Anil Shirole beat Dr Vishwajeet Patangrao Kadam of CONGRESS by receiving 57.40 per cent of the votes cast in this constituency.

The key candidates in the Pune constituency for Lok Sabha Elections 2019 are Girish Bhalchandra Bapat of BJP and Mohan Joshi of CONGRESS.

Pune is one of the constituencies in 48-seat Maharashtra. At the time of the previous Lok Sabha elections in 2014, Pune had 1,835,836 registered electors -- 949,567 of them male and 886,269 female. The constituency had seen a 54.10% voter turnout in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. In Pune the male voter turnout was 56.20% and 51.86% female voters turned out for voting. The participation of women candidates in this seat was 3.
