Injured wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan will be unavailable for the third T20 International against New Zealand as a precautionary measure, India's bowling coach Morne Morkel said on Monday.
The 28-year-old had suffered a right adductor strain during the series-opener last week.
"Ishan is doing well. He will be training today. For tomorrow, I think he is not available for selection, just as a precaution," Morkel said at the pre-match press conference here.
Right adductor is a group of muscles located on the inner side of the thigh.
Kishan had missed the second T20I as well, with teenage batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi replacing him in the playing XI.
Uncapped wicketkeeper-batter Kumar Kushagra was added to the squad as cover for Kishan. India lead the five-match series 2-0.

Harmanpreet, whose second coming as a pure batter has been nothing short of breathtaking, struck 126 off 121 balls laced with 15 well-timed boundaries. This was Harmanpreet's eighth WODI century after she hit a match-winning 91 in one of the WT20Is played earlier.
She had an able companion in Deepti, who remained unbeaten on 106 off 86 balls with 15 hits to the fence.

"Cricket is something that gives me happiness and batting is something I have enjoyed throughout my career. Just want to enjoy batting."
Harmanpreet added that captaincy was not on her mind when she was in the middle, as her priority was to take responsibility and bat according to the situation.

New Zealand have made several changes to their squad for the remaining matches of the T20I series against India, with pacers Lockie Ferguson and Matt Henry among those set to miss the third game due to niggles and workload management.
Ferguson will travel to Auckland on Sunday and rejoin the squad for the fourth and fifth T20Is at Eden Park and Seddon Park, respectively, while Henry will remain in Christchurch and link up with the ODI squad in Auckland on November 2.
Henry had bowled only two overs in the second T20I against India. Ferguson, too, had left the field as a precautionary measure and is likely to return for the final two games of the series.
"Those two are being assessed. They'll go for some scans on Tuesday after the public holiday. We'll have some more information as to where things stand. Obviously, like always, we're just hoping for the best. That'll allow for the quickest turnaround," head coach Rob Walter said in a video shared by New Zealand Cricket (NZC) on ...

Lamine Yamal slid to his back, his hands covering his face.
The 19-year-old Barcelona phenom is so used to winning, and playing so spectacularly well, that he seemed the most awestruck of all the 60,000-plus at Camp Nou when he missed a chance like few others against Real Madrid on Sunday.
Yamal's close-range miss late in the first half summed up a frustrating clasico for Barcelona, which ended in a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Real Madrid.
Kylian Mbappe scored twice for Madrid to give Jose Mourinho a victory in his first game at Camp Nou since returning to coach Barcelona's fiercest rival.
Mbappe and Yamal are two of the favorites for the Ballon d'Or award to be announced in London on Monday. While voting for the world's top player last season ended a month ago, Mbappe upstaged Yamal on the field this time.

The crisis at Manchester United deepened Sunday with a 3-0 home loss to Bournemouth in the Premier League, with under-pressure manager Michael Carrick's bold call to drop captain Bruno Fernandes failing to pay off.
Also, Brighton - the league's surprise package this season - was beaten 2-0 at Liverpool for its first defeat since August.
United's winless run extended to eight games in all competitions after its latest setback, coming four days after a humiliating 4-1 loss at Como in the Champions League that was followed by critical comments to the media by Fernandes about Carrick's tactics.
The Portugal star was left out of the team against Bournemouth in what Carrick described as a "pure football" decision and never made it onto the field, with the visitors taking advantage of woeful defending to score goals through Rayan, Marcus Tavernier and Evanilson.
With United tumbling to 16th place in the 20-team Premier League, Carrick's job is under huge threat - barely five months after

Vinicius Junior's scoring slump continued in his return to the Real Madrid lineup in the Champions League.
The Brazilian forward had an ineffective performance and couldn't find the net in Madrid's 4-1 win over Leipzig at home on Wednesday, reaching nine straight appearances without a goal for the Spanish club.
"It's actually a very good thing that he's sad because it means he really cares about the team and the fans," teammate Kylian Mbappe said. "He needs to stay calm and be proud of who he is, because a great player always has to be proud of who he is, and regain his confidence, because he has the quality."
There were some boos at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium when Vinicius made a mistake while trying to make a pass to Jude Bellingham about halfway through the first half. Bellingham immediately applauded, as if asking for the crowd to get behind Vinicius. Parts of the crowd also chanted his name at times.
"Living every moment," Vinicius posted on Instagram after the match. ...
