IndiaMart IPO opens, to raise over Rs 474 cr

B2B e-commerce firm IndiaMart Monday launched its initial public offer (IPO) with a price band of Rs 970-973 to raise over Rs 474 crore. The company has offered 48,87,862 equity shares in the issue, which will close on June 26. The price band is set at Rs 970-973 per equity share of face value of Rs 10 each. "The floor price is 97 times the face value of equity shares and the cap price is 97.3 times the face of the equity shares," according to the announcement made by IndiaMart. The existing investors Intel Capital, Amadeus, DPF Limited along with promoter Dinesh Chandra Agarwal, are diluting some of their stake for the IPO. Auto stocks drag equity indices amid weak sentiment

Equities traded on a weak note during early hours on Monday amid mixed global markets and firming oil prices.At 10:15 am, the BSE S & P Sensex was down 95 points at 39,091 while the Nifty 50 slipped 19 points to 11,705. Most sectoral indices at the National Stock Exchange were in the red with Nifty auto down 1.2 per cent.Among stocks, Indiabulls Housing Finance and Hero MotorCorp traded over 2 per cent lower. RBI Dy Governor Viral Acharya resigns 6 months before term ends

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Deputy Governor Viral Acharya resigned six months before the scheduled end of his term, reports said on Monday.Acharya took up his post on January 20, 2017 for a term of three years. He is the central bank's youngest deputy governor post-economic liberalisation. His tenure was to end on January 20, 2020.Reports said Acharya will return to the New York University as CV Starr Professor of Economics.During his tenure, Acharya advocated for RBI's independence, saying that if the government does not respect its autonomy, it will incur the wrath of financial markets.His resignation comes in the backdrop of economic growth slowing to 5.8 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2018-19. It also comes ahead of the Union Budget 2019-20 in the Parliament on July 5.In December last year, Urjit Patel had stepped down from the post of RBI governor following differences with the government.

Rupee opened flat at 69.58 vs USD in early trade

The rupee opened on a flat note at 69.58 against the US dollar in opening trade Monday amid rising crude oil prices and foreign fund outflows. Forex traders said the domestic currency was under pressure and was trading in a narrow range after media report surfaced that Viral Acharya has quit as RBI deputy governor. As per reports Acharya has resigned six months before the scheduled end of his term. The rupee opened at 69.58 at the interbank forex market, unchanged from its previous closing level.
