Silver prices rose by 0.24 per cent in futures trade Monday as traders built up fresh positions even as the metal weakened overseas. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for December was trading higher by Rs 89, or 0.24 per cent, to Rs 37,080 per kg in a business turnover of 342 lots. In a similar manner, the white metal for November gained Rs 81, or 0.22 per cent, to Rs 37,014 per kg in 506 lots. Analysts said fresh position created by participants mainly influenced the prices here but, a weak trend overseas capped the gains. Globally, silver fell 0.21 per cent, to USD 14.46 an ounce in Singapore Monday.
Media firm DB Corp Monday said its radio division MY FM has increased its advertisement rates by 15 per cent across key markets. "The hike is effective November 15, 2018, backed by strong growth in listenership across its key markets including Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Indore, Bhopal, Nagpur, Raipur, Surat, Nashik, Aurangabad and Rajkot," DB Corp said in a regulatory filing. "The network has seen considerable growth and traction over the last few months. MY FM has been able to consolidate its leadership position across all key markets," it added. DB Corp publishes newspapers including Dainik Bhaskar, Divya Bhaskar, Dainik Divya Marathi and Saurashtra Samachar, and operates My FM radio station in 30 cities. Marketmen said off-loading of bets by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries, particularly, battery-makers, at the physical markets, mainly weighed on lead prices at futures trade.
Copper prices dipped by 0.59 per cent to Rs 440.35 per kg in futures trade on Monday as participants booked profits at prevailing levels amid easing demand at the domestic spot market. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in current month was trading lower by Rs 2.60, or 0.59 per cent at Rs 440.35 per kg in a business turnover of 1,140 lots. Marketmen said besides profit-booking by speculators, fall in demand from consuming industries in the physical market, mainly led to the decline in copper prices at futures trade here.

The November rates of nickel fell by Rs 8.30, or 1.02 per cent to trade at Rs 808.40 per kg with a business turnover of 1,494 lots. Analysts said off-loading positions by participants on the back of tepid demand from alloy-makers in the physial market , led to the fall in nickel prices at futures trade.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mehtha oil for delivery in November fell by Rs 26.90, or 1.50 per cent to Rs 1,79.50 per kg in a business turnover of 131 lots. Analysts said apart from profit-booking by speculators at current levels, subdued demand led to the fall in the prices at futures trade.
Crude oil prices rose 0.97 per cent to Rs 4,149 per barrel in futures market Monday as speculators created fresh bets, taking positive cues from the Asian markets. At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), crude oil for delivery in December was trading higher by Rs 40, or 0.97 per cent at Rs 4,149 per barrel in a business turnover of 2,067 lots. Analysts said, speculators built fresh positions after oil prices recovered some ground in Asia on expectations the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries(OPEC) would cut output, supported the recovery in crude prices at futures trade here.
