Mahindra & Mahendra rolls out uppgraded Bolero pick-up

: Auto-maker Mahindra & Mahindrahopes to see 15 per cent growth in the sales of the Bolero pick-up this fiscal year, a senior official of the company Mahesh Kulkarni said Friday. Addressing a press conference after launching the upgraded Maha Bolero pick-up here, Kulkarni said, "We sold 1.49 lakh units of the pick-up last fiscal. From April to September this year, we sold 12,600 units." He said 50 per cent of the pick-up business come from agriculture business sector while the rest was from the service industry. Replying to a query, he said though rising diesel price was a cause of concern in terms of earning potential of the pick-up operators, some of the offers given by it may offset the negatives. He said Bolero was being exported to some of the neighbouring countriesr. The new pick-up comes with different body style, cargo box lengths and varying payload capacities of 1,300 kg, 1,500 kg and 1,700 kg, suitable for various customer segments and their needs, he ...

Sebi to auction properties of 4 companies

Sebi will auction as many as six properties of four companies, including Swar Agrotech and Life Care Infratech, next month at a reserve price totalling Rs 5 crore as the market regulator looks to recover investors' money. Properties of Servehit Housing and Infrastructure India as well as Raghav Capital and Infrastructure will also go under the hammer. The auction of these land parcels spread across Uttar Pradesh and Haryana will be conducted on November 11, Sebi said in a notice issued on Friday. Out of the six properties being put on the block, two each belong to Swar Agrotech India and Life Care Infratech; and one each of Raghav Capital and Servehit Housing. The reserve price of these properties amounts to Rs 4.74 crore. The move is part of an effort by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) to recover money that these companies had illegally mobilised from people. Karnataka Bank Q2 net up 20% at Rs 112 crore on lower provisioning

Private sector Karnataka Bank has reported a rise of 20 per cent in its net profit at Rs 111.86 crore in the second quarter ended September 2018 on healthy interest income and lower provision for bad assets. The bank had reported a net profit of Rs 93.38 crore in the corresponding July-September quarter of 2017-18. Total income of the bank increased to Rs 1,653.81 crore in the second quarter of 2018-19, from Rs 1,565.75 crore in the same period of the preceding fiscal, the bank said in a regulatory filing. Bank's earnings from interest moved up to Rs 1,452.61 crore during the September quarter as against Rs 1,317.93 crore in the year-ago period. The provisioning for bad loans and contingencies for the quarter came down to Rs 193.22 crore as against Rs 225.98 crore. On asset quality, the net non-performing assets (NPAs) came down to 3 per cent of the net advances by the end of September 30, 2018, as against 3.04 per cent in the same period a year earlier. Fujitsu General acquires majority stake in ABS Aircon

Japan's leading air-conditioning manufacturer Fujitsu General has acquired majority stake in city-based HVAC contracting company ABS Aircon Engineers to further expand commercial air-conditioning contracting and engineering services in India, ABS said Friday. ABS Aircon Engineers said Fujitsu General and ABS hope to expand HVAC (Heating and Air Conditioning) contracting services across India and abroad in the future, as well as to form a platform to sell more Fujitsu products such as VRF in India. Through this tie-up, Fujitsu General intends to strengthen the HVAC services corresponding to the commercial air conditioner market in India, the company said in a statement.
