PM Modi assures all help to Andhra CM Naidu following heavy rains

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday assured Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of all possible help from the Centre to deal with the crisis following heavy rains in the state. Modi spoke to Naidu over phone to enquire about the prevailing flood situation in the state where several places, Vijayawada being one of the worst affected, are being pounded by heavy rainfall for the past two days due to a depression. "CM Chandrababu Naidu explained about the ongoing flood relief work while Modi told him that central government departments concerned have been directed to extend necessary help to the state," said an official statement released by the state government late Sunday. The prime minister said departments have also been instructed to immediately dispatch necessary equipment, it said and added that Naidu thanked Modi for the help. Andhra CM inaugurates projects, inks deals worth Rs 3,683 cr at Sri City

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday laid foundation, inaugurated and inked deals with multiple companies here worth up to Rs 3,683 crore, which have a potential to generate 15,280 jobs. Among the inaugurations were 15 industrial projects with a total investment of Rs 1,570 crore to generate 8,480 jobs, followed by foundation for seven projects with an investment of Rs 900 crore and potential to create 2,740 jobs. The chief minister also inked five deals involving an investment of Rs 1,213 crore with employment scope for 4,060 jobs. "Today, at Sri City, we paved the way for further industrial development. I inaugurated 15 industrial projects with Rs 1,570 crore investment and laid the foundation for 7 projects worth Rs 900 crore. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday and sought enhanced financial assistance for the debt-ridden southern state. In his first meeting with Modi after the Union Budget, Naidu thanked the prime minister for key announcements made for Andhra Pradesh, including Rs 15,000 crore funding for the new capital's development, sources said. Tata Sons chairman to co-chair task force for reshaping Andhra Pradesh

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday said here that Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran will co-chair the Task Force for Economic Development, for achieving a Swarna (golden) Andhra Pradesh by 2047. Andhra CM Naidu meets officials to prevent rain-related loss of life

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has held a meeting with some officials over the heavy rainfall across several places in the state and discussed ways to minimise loss of life from damage caused by the bad weather. Andhra, Telangana CMs to meet to discuss pending inter-state issues

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his Telangana counterpart A Revanth Reddy will meet here on Saturday to resolve pending issues related to bifurcation of undivided Andhra.
