The meeting could not take place on time as the chief secretary remained busy throughout the day, they said. Services Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj as well as two members of the CSB waited for Kumar till 8:30 pm, the government sources said. Bomb hoax to Delhi's school in April might be linked to foreign servers

Investigators probing a bomb hoax to the Indian School here last month have traced the source of the threat e-mail to an IP address that might be linked to a server in Germany or Russia, police said on Tuesday. The Indian School in Delhi's Sadiq Nagar received two bomb threats and the latest was on April 12 via an email. The first one was over phone in November 2022. Both turned out to be hoax threats. Following the e-mail threat, the school was evacuated and bomb disposal squads swung into action. However, nothing suspicious was found after a five-hour search operation. "During our probe, technical investigation revealed that the alleged threat via email was sent through the IP address linked to a server in Germany or Russia. However, investigation in such cases are tricky since various protocols need to be followed to carry the probe on International ground," a senior police officer said. With the G20 Summit being held in September in the national capital when the dengue scare is generally high, Mayor Shelly Oberoi on Tuesday asked officials to take extra precautions and ensure the safety of foreign delegates. The LG Secretariat has returned the files related to Services matters to the Delhi government in light of the Supreme Court's order last week on transfers and postings of bureaucrats in the city, Raj Niwas officials said on Tuesday. Rashtrapati Bhavan will be open for public viewing for six days in a week from June 1, an official statement issued on Tuesday said. The tour of Rashtrapati Bhavan will be available from Tuesday to Sunday (except on gazetted holidays) in seven time slots, between 9.30 am and 4.30 pm hours, it said. Nitin Gadkari gets another threat call at official residence in Delhi

An unidentified man made a threatening call on the landline number of Union minister Nitin Gadkari's official residence on Motilal Nehru road here, police said on Tuesday. The call was received by a staff of Gadkari's office Monday night. The caller did not share his details and demanded to speak to the minister and threaten him, a senior police officer said. "The caller spoke in Hindi and said 'mujhe mantri ji se baat karni hai, unhe threaten karna hai' (I want to talk to the minister and want to threaten him), and disconnected the call," he said. The minister's office reported the matter to Delhi Police which is now investigating the matter. "All call records details are being analysed. Around 2,200 rooms registered under Delhi govt's 'Bed and Breakfast' scheme

More than 2,200 rooms at 432 houses across the national capital have been registered under the Delhi government's "Bed and Breakfast" scheme since its launch, a tourism department official said on Tuesday, Under the scheme, the Delhi government provides registration to people wishing to convert their house into a Bed and Breakfast unit within 30 days. A Bed and Breakfast unit provides home-like affordable accommodation and food to visitors. The government follows proper procedure before registering a property, therefore it gives a sense of security to the visitors, the official said. A "thorough" inspection is done by a team of the tourism department and then the establishment is either given a gold or silver registration, the official said. PM10 rise to hazardous levels as strong winds raising dust sweep Delhi

The PM10 pollution in Delhi soared to hazardous levels on Tuesday as strong winds swept the city raising dust and leaving a thick blanket of haze over it. The India Meteorological Department said dust-laden winds with speed up to 50 kmph breezed through the capital between 3 am and 6 am, lowering visibility to a mere 700 metres at 10 am at the Palam Observatory, close to the Indira Gandhi International Airport, as compared to 4,000 metres at 9 am on Monday. By 3 pm on Tuesday, the overall air quality index had worsened to 260, from 162 at 4 pm on Monday. The Delhi Pollution Control Committee data showed PM10 levels soaring to 3,826 micrograms per cubic metre at Jahangirpuri and 2,565 micrograms per cubic metre at Sri Aurobindo Marg. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, PM10 levels up to 100 micrograms per cubic metre (for a 24-hour period) are considered safe. Air pollution: Crucial meeting on source apportionment study held in Delhi

The Delhi government on Monday said it held a roundtable conference to discuss the findings of a real-time source apportionment study on air pollution and develop a strategy to further improve air quality in the city and the National Capital Region. The "Save Environment Roundtable Conference" took place at the Delhi Secretariat on Monday and was attended by representatives from Commission for Air Quality Management, Central Pollution Control Board, SAFAR, United Nations Environment Programme, India Meteorological Department, World Bank, Centre for Science and Environment, The Energy and Resources Institute, and NCR states. Delhi Board of School Education declares first-ever result of class 10, 12

The first-ever results of the Delhi Board of School Education (DBSE) examination for Classes 10 and 12 were declared on Monday by Education Minister Atishi. Out of 1,594 students in Class 10, 1,582 appeared in both term-end assessments, and eight of them could not achieve the qualifying grade point 3, the minister said. Those who remained below the qualifying grade will be given another opportunity to improve through a supplementary assessment after a month, she said. A total of 672 students registered for Class 12 Board exams and 667 students appeared in both term-end assessments. Five students who could not achieve the qualifying grade point 3 will also be given another opportunity to improve their grade point through supplementary assessment, she said.
