Will Ferrell to star in Netflix comedy
Hollywood superstar, Will Ferrell is all set to star in a Netflix produced comedy feature Eurovision for Netflix.According to the Hollywood Reporter, the actor will co-write it with his friend Andrew Steele, from the Saturday Night Live show.The two have recently worked together on HBO's The Royal Wedding Live With Cord and Tish!Recently, Ferrell produced a recent Netflix comedy release Ibiza which starred Gillian Jacobs, who will be seen opposite John C. Reilly in the Columbia comedy 'Holmes & Watson'.The Eurovision is actually a song Contest started in post-World War II Europe.It is the longest-running annual international song competition.The countries that participate have to submit an original song which later has to be performed live, post which votes will be cast by official juries and viewers to determine the winner.Jessica Elbaum will produce the feature alongside Ferrell, with Adam McKay as the executive producer.
'Black Panther', 'Stranger Things' big winners at MTV Awards 2018
"Black Panther" roared at this year's MTV Movie and TV Awards as the film went on to bag top honours, including Best Movie, while "Stranger Things" was adjudged the Best Show at the ceremony. The Ryan Coogler-directed film also won three other big awards - including Best Performance in a Movie and Best Hero for Chadwick Boseman's performance as T'Challa/ Black Panther. Foo Fighters agent Russell Warby says the band is looking forward to extend support to more acts by female artistes and a younger crop of musicians. In the past, the group has included women-fronted acts like Alison Mosshart's The Kills, LA heavy metal group Starcrawler, London four-piece Wolf Alice, as well as different artistes such as Swedish experimental band Goat, punk duo Slaves, British indie group The Cribs, and Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes. "With the bigger shows we want to carefully curate an inspiring bill. We consciously thought we want a lot of strong female artists and lots of younger artists. Rapper XXXTentacion shot dead at 20
Up-and-coming rapper XXXTentacion was shot at and killed during an apparent robbery in Broward County, Florida, the police said. He was 20. Tentacion, whose real name was Jahseh Onfroy, was leaving a motorsports store shortly before 4 p.m. when two men in a dark coloured SUV gunned him down, Keyla Concepcion, Broward County sheriff department public information officer, said. According to CNN, the Broward County deputies are on the lookout for the two suspects and have asked probable witnesses of the shooting to come forward, Concepcion said.
