SRK shoots for 'Zero's climax in US
For the past month or so, Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan has been shooting for his upcoming drama 'Zero' in the United States.The news came in from the film's director Aanand L. Rai. Announcing the beginning of the climax, Rai tweeted a Hindi quote penned by Mirza Ghalib along with the news.'Zero' is a story that celebrates life, the first look of the film featured Shah Rukh Khan as the adorable vertically challenged man piquing the interests of the audience to witness the unusual tale.Helmed by Aanand L. Rai, 'Zero' is going to mark the onscreen reunion of the actor trio - Shah Rukh, Anushka Sharma, and Katrina Kaif - after 2012's 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'.The romantic-drama is slated to hit the screens on December 21.

Cong MLA showers notes at music event, tenders clarification
Congress MLA Alpesh Thakor landed in a controversy today after a video clip purportedly showing him showering currency notes on folk artists during a music event went viral on social media. In the clip, Thakor along with some others could be seen showering currency notes of Rs 10 denomination on singers at a 'Dayro', a folk music function held on Saturday in Radhanpur, his assembly constituency in Patan district of Gujarat, around 100 km from here. In Gujarat, showering currency notes is a common sight during such folk music events. After the video created a buzz on social media, the OBC leader came up with a clarification, saying he did that for a cause. Producer-writer Aisling Chin-Yee is ready to make her directorial debut with a female-driven drama called 'Rest of Us'.According to the Hollywood Reporter, the show will feature 'The Crown' actress Jodi Balfour and the 'Hangover' actress Heather Graham.Sophie Nelisse and Abigail Pniowsky will also star in the movie.The Chin-Yee directorial, which is produced by Babe Nation Creations and written by Alanna Francis, is currently in production in North Ontario.The story revolves around the lives of the four women struggling with their past, flaws and present.Graham will play a divorced woman who, along with her teenage daughter (Nelisse), invites her former husband's second wife, played by Balfour, and her daughter (Pniowsky) to move in with them after her husband's unexpected death.

Celebrating the latest cinematic offerings from Europe, the European Union Film Festival (EUFF) kicked off today with a promise to regale cinegoers with unusual stories from around the world. Organised by the Delegation of the European Union and embassies of EU Member States in partnership with the Directorate of Film Festivals, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India and various city film clubs, the 23rd edition of the festival will showcase 24 latest European movies from 23 European countries.
