Hugo Weaving to star in VR film 'Lone Wolf'

Actor Hugo Weaving is all set to star in the feature-length virtual reality film "Lone Wolf". Weaving, best known for starring in "Matrix" trilogy and "Hobbit" series, will play a police minister who gets involved in a conspiracy in the film which will be directed by Jonathan Ogilvie. The film is an adaptation of Joseph Conrad's 1907 novel "The Secret Agent" that explores the issues of fanaticism in the form of terrorism and anarchy. The story follows a cluster of anarchists, one of whom is also a police informant, who receive a proposal to attack the Sydney Opera House, reported Variety. The film will go into production later this year.

Pravin Togadia's associate offers reward to thrash Salman Khan

Govind Parashar, the Agra unit chief of 'Hindu Hi Aage' outfit, has declared a reward of Rs five lakh for anyone who thrases Bollywood actor Salman Khan.Parashar, who is also a close associate of former international working president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Pravin Togadia, has accused the actor of hurting the 'Hindu sentiments' by naming a movie relapsed under the banner of his production house as 'Loveratri', which will be released during Navaratri.'Loveratri' features Salman's brother-in-law Aayush Sharma in the lead role."Whoever will thrash Salman, he will be rewarded with Rs five lakhs and a person who will vandalise the set of the movie will get Rs two lakhs," Parashar said.He also threatened to vandalise the theater that releases the movie."The owner will be responsible for the destruction of the movie hall," Prasar said.The workers of the organisation also staged a protest against the movie and burnt the picture of the actor on the streets of Agra.

Robert Pattinson, Lily-Rose Depp boards Netflix's 'The King'

Actors Robert Pattinson and Lily-Rose Depp have joined the cast of Netflix's "The King" starring Timothee Chalamet and Joel Edgerton in the lead. Directed by "War Machine" helmer David Michod, the film is based on classic Shakespeare plays "Henry The IV" and "Henry V", and follows a young disgraced prince Hal (Chalamet) who inherits the crown at a particularly turbulent time in English history and must learn what it means to be a king, guided by his one true friend, Falstaff (Edgerton). Pattinson will play French prince The Dauphin, while Depp, the 19-year-old daughter of Hollywood star Johnny Depp and his former girlfriend Vanessa Paradis, will portray French Princess Catherine, who goes on to marry Henry V, the streaming giant said in a statement. The film also stars Sean Harris, Ben Mendelsohn, Tom Glynn-Carney and Thomasin Harcourt McKenzie. Brad Pitt's Plan B Entertainment is producing the project along with Porchlight Films' Liz Watts, Edgerton and Michod.
