Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor Ahuja's upcoming film "Veere Di Wedding" has been banned by Pakistan's Central Board of Film Censors (CBFC) due to "vulgar language". According to Express Tribune, all the members of the censor board unanimously came to a decision to ban the movie, while the film's distributors also withdrew their application to release it in Pakistan. "'Veere Di Wedding' was screened before the full board and all members were surprised to see such content being displayed. This film is not acceptable in our society due to its vulgarity and sexual dialogues spoken by the four girls and so, we decided to ban it," a senior CBFC official told the publication. The upcoming film has been directed by Shashanka Ghosh and produced by Ekta Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor. Also featuring Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania, the movie was scheduled to release on June 1.
