Cara Delevingne, Machine Gun Kelly to feature in Punk'
Cara Delevingne and rapper Machine Gun Kelly are set to star in heist thriller Punk. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film marks the debut of Australian filmmaker and award-winning ad director Richard Hughes. Hollywood heavyweight Sylvester Stallone and his sister Sistine Stallone are attached to executive produce. The film revolves around Peter, played by rapper Vince Staples, who embarks on a road trip with a team of free-spirited runaways after receiving a rejection letter. The trio, headed by Skip (Kelly) and his sister Lucy (Delevingne), collectively push the boundaries of freedom. Peter falls for Lucy only to find out later that the crew is a band of bank robbers aspiring to become modern-day Robin Hoods. Hughes has penned the story. Punk will be produced by Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Braden Aftergood, and Fred Berger. Production is scheduled to begin this year.
BTS transform into The Beatles on Stephen Colbert's show
Popular Korean pop band, BTS channelised The Beatles spirit and stepped into the shoes of the iconic music group in their first appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Ukraine to hold presidential inauguration Monday
Ukraine's parliament voted Thursday to hold on Monday the inauguration of the newly elected president, comedian Volodymyr Zelensky, after he wrangled with lawmakers over the date. Zelensky had said he wanted to hold the inauguration on Sunday, a controversial move since this is a day of mourning for victims of Stalin-era repressions in the former-Soviet country. He repeatedly accused MPs of deliberately postponing the ceremony, but lawmakers voted in favour of holding the inauguration on Monday with 315 backing the date and two opposing. Noomi Rapace to play Mossad agent in Sylvia'
Swedish actor Noomi Repace will headline spy action drama, Sylvia. The actor will play Sylvia Rafeal, a South Africa-born agent who rose to prominence in Israeli intelligence agency, Mossad, reported Variety. Sylvia is best known for successfully locating Ali Hassan Salameh, a fugitive leader of the Palestine's Black September organisation. But the mission tragically led to her involvement in the infamous Lillehammer incident, in which an innocent Morroccan waiter was misidentified as Salameh and killed by Sylvia's team. Sylvia was later tried and imprisoned in Norway. Vicky Jewson is attached to direct. WestEnd Films are developing the project.
