With the release of Salman Khan starrer 'Bharat' less than a month away, makers are keeping fans on their toes by releasing new posters and songs from the film.Salman Khan took to Twitter on Thursday to announce that the latest track from his film, titled 'Zinda', will be out on Friday.This is the fourth track to be released from the upcoming film, after a peppy number 'Slow Motion' followed by a soulful track 'Chashni' and a wedding song 'Aithey Aa'.The 'Dabangg' star tweeted, "Zinda hoon main tujhme, tujhme rahoonga zinda! Zinda Song Out Tomorrow," along with a collage of his characters from the film. Playback singer Armaan Malik says he dreams of a day when India is famous for its singers. The artiste, who has songs "Bol Do Na Zara" and "Wajah Tum Ho" to his credit, said he wants Indian singers to achieve a star-like status, a culture prevalent in the West. "I have dedicated almost my entire life to singing and I want to make singers stars in this country. That is one thing where India lacks. "In Hollywood, we see so many international singers that are bigger than actors but here we see that singers are just singers, they are not personalities. My main aim is to make India known for its singers. That is my dream," Armaan told PTI. The singer, who is currently in the US, said he has many international collaborations in the pipeline. Mithun Chakraborty's next to be horror-comedy
Actor Mithun Chakraborty has signed a horror-comedy, which is scheduled to begin production by July-August. The actor, who was seen on the screen in "Tashkent Files", has been away from the spotlight for a while reportedly due to his ongoing treatment for back pain. He will next be seen in"Bhootiyapa", which features him along side comedians Krushna Abhishek, Sugandha Mishra and Rajiv Thakur. The film is directed by Manoj Sharma. "When I narrated the film to Mithun da, he was very excited! He is absolutely fit and fine and told me he loved the script. I am thrilled to direct him and I think it will be a fun ride for all of us," Manoj told PTI. The director said Mithun will be in the role of a man who invites three stand-up comedians for a private performance in his mansion. "We are trying something new with the film, the genre of horror-comedy is new and we have a fantastic story and the cast to make it entertaining." Fifth DFW South Asian Film Festival begins
The Dallas-Fort Worth South Asian Film Festival (SAFF), focusing on issues affecting the Indian subcontinent, begins Thursday. The fifth annual DFW SAFF, a four-day movie gala, boasts 21 shorts, documentaries, feature films and Q&A sessions with attending filmmakers-actors. The screenings will take place at various locations including Victory Park, Addison and the Design District. The festival kicks off with the world premiere of Gaurav Sharma's short film "That Man in the Picture", followed by the Texas premiere of Rohena Gera's "Sir", starring Tillotama Shome and Vivek Gomber. One of the big highlights of the festival is the US premiere of Vasan Bala's action-packed film "Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota". Jamie Dornan, Melissa Barrerra to star in 'Carmen'
Jamie Dornan and Melissa Barrerra are featuring in the feature film adaptation of French Opera, "Carmen". The film is the directorial debut of "Black Swan" choreographer Benjamin Millepied, Variety reported. The movie will be a modern adaptation of the French Opera, in which Barrera will play the title role. "'Carmen' is the opera of my childhood. Growing up, it was an ever-present part of my musical beginnings. It has inspired me greatly as an artist. "For many years, I have been passionate about creating a film musical, and 'Carmen' presents an incredibly exciting opportunity for exploring dance and music on screen," Millepied said. Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Nilo Cruz of "Anna in the tropics" fame is finalising the script. The film will feature new songs by Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Julieta Venegas and Nicholas Britell ("Moonlight") will compose the music. Shooting begins in October in Los Angeles, US.

Amid election fever in Varanasi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's popularity in this holy city can be seen from streets to stands, with booksellers saying titles written on him are flying off the shelf ahead of the polls in his constituency. Among the books doing well are "The Real Modi" and "Narendra Modi: Ek Sakaratmak Soch", according to booksellers in the temple town. While the first one is an old paperback edition in Hindi, it is the second title that is catching the eyes of readers in the temple town. Printed by publisher Apurva Shah of Ahmedabad, "Narendra Modi: Ek Sakaratmak Soch" is an unusual book as it is shaped like a cut-out put up during election rallies. "X-Men" star Famke Janssen has boarded the cast of crime thriller "The Postcard Killings". According to Variety, the actor will star opposite Jeffery Dean Morgan in the film. The story follows Jacob Kanon (Morgan), a hardened New York detective, in search of the person responsible for the murder of his only daughter. Janssen plays Valerie Kanon, the mother of their now deceased child.
