That is the broad drift of the pronouncements being made in India Pavilion on the French Riviera, where filmmakers from the world's most populous nation gather to explore wider avenues. Two men who have seen better times in Cannes Delhi-based producer Bobby Bedi and Malayali filmmaker Shaji N Karun are among those who are making the trip to the French Riviera this year. Twenty-five years ago, in 1994, both Bedi and Shaji had a film each playing on the Croisette. Dinesh Vijan's next a love story

Filmmaker Dinesh Vijan Thursday announced his next home production film, a love story, which stars Diana Penty, Radhika Madan, Sunny Kaushal and Mohit Raina. Vijan, who has three hits - "Hindi Medium", "Stree" and "Luka Chuppi" to his credit as a producer, is backing a love story called "Shiddat Journey beyond Love". "In our day and age where love is taken so lightly, it's difficult to imagine the lengths people would go to for it. 'Shiddat' is a not only a story about love but the distance one travels for it. "The passion that overcomes maybe all senses or logic to do things that you wouldn't usually imagine, the belief in something with all your heart and the drive to achieve it - that's 'Shiddat'," Vijan said in a statement. A popular British talk show known for pitting guests against each other was cancelled on Wednesday after the reported suicide of a man one week after appearing on the programme. Broadcaster ITV pulled "The Jeremy Kyle Show" following the death of 63-year-old Steve Dymond, which sparked widespread criticism including from Prime Minister Theresa May. "Given the gravity of recent events we have decided to end production of The Jeremy Kyle Show," ITV chief executive Carolyn McCall said.
