Lionsgate has announced that it will kick off the international tour of "The Hunger Games in Concert" from July 12 in Manchester, UK. Ace composer James Newton Howard will perform a 60-piece orchestra from "The Hunger Games" score and concert will also feature an HD screening of the first film of the franchise which was released in 2012, the studio said in a statement. The film, directed by Gary Ross, featured Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Lenny Kravitz, Stanley Tucci and Donald Sutherland. "The first 'Hunger Games' movie was one of those rare films to combine epic storyline, memorable characters and challenging musical opportunities. The Delhi High Court today refused to stay the release of movie 'Nanak Shah Fakir', scheduled to hit the theatres from tomorrow, saying the petition was motivated after the Supreme Court refused to grant any relief. The High Court said it was unbelievable that the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC), which has filed the petition challenging the no objection certificate issued by the Censor Board, was not aware of the making of film till now. A bench of Acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice C Hari Shankar said the "release of the film cannot be interdicted". The court directed the Centre to ensure maintenance of law and order and made it clear that it was not granting any ex-parte relief to DSGMC without hearing the film producer. The petition challenged the release of the movie saying it has characterised the family members of Guru Nank Dev with humans/actors which is against the principles of Sikh religion. The NHRC has sent notices to the Union Information and Broadcasting Ministry as well as the Telangana government, seeking detailed reports into a protest by a Telugu actress who stripped in public to highlight her complaint of sexual exploitation of women in the regional film industry. The NHRC has asked the state government and the ministry to submit its reports within four weeks, it said in a statement today. Following her protest, the Movie Artistes Association (MAA), an apex body of the Telugu film industry, had said on April 8 the aspiring actress would not be made a member of the organisation. Actor Donnie Yen has joined the cast of Disney's live-action reboot of "Mulan". The movie, which is inspired by Hua Mulan, the Chinese folk heroine who took her aged father's place in battle, will be directed by Niki Caro. The "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" star joins Chinese actor Liu Yifei, who earlier cast as the titular character in the in the project. Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) today made two unsuccessful attempts in the Supreme Court to stall the release of movie Nanak Shah Fakir, hitting theatres across the nation tomorrow. The SGPC made the plea for the second time in afternoon after its first one was rejected in the morning. A bench headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra refused for the second time to consider the SGPC submission that its plea be either heard today or tomorrow as it would be rendered infructuous as the movie is slated for release tomorrow. The bench, also comprising Justices A M Khanwilkar and D Y Chandrachud, had said in the forenoon that the SGPC plea would be heard on April 16.
