Ken Jeong, Wendy McLendon-Covey to star in 'Goosebumps 2'

Actors Wendi McLendon-Covey and Ken Jeong have been roped in for "Goosebumps 2". The duo joins Madison Iseman, Ben O'Brien, Caleel Harris and Jeremy Ray Taylor in the project, Variety reported. Director Rob Letterman, who helmed the first film, is expected to return for the sequel along with screenwriter Darren Lemke. The project will be produced by Deborah Forte and Neal H Moritz. Based on Scholastic's worldwide bestselling book series, with over 400 million copies in print, the first movie starred Jack Black as "Goosebumps" author R L Stine, along with actors Dylan Minnette, Ryan Lee and Odeya Rush.

Can't take action against Raveena Tandon over videography inside temple: Bhubaneswar Police

Bhubaneswar Police on Wednesday said they cannot take action against Bollywood actor Raveena Tandon, as the complaint filed against her was not a cognisable offence.Bhubaneswar's Lingaraj Temple authorities on Tuesday filed a complaint against Tandon, accusing her of shooting for an advertisement in the 'no camera zone' inside the temple premises."There is no Act to take any action against videography. Actor Jeetendra booked in 47 year old sexual assault case

Bollywood actor Jeetendra has been booked by the Shimla Police after he was accused by his cousin of sexually assaulting her 47 years ago, police said. The woman, in a complaint to the Director General of Police, in February had alleged that the incident took place in Shimla in January, 1971, when she was 18 and the actor was 28. Superintendent of Police Omapati Jamwal said an FIR had been filed against the star and investigations into the case were underway. Police officials are likely to summon the complainant in the case as they have only received her complaint on e-mail and are yet to record her version, sources said. Later, the actor, whose actual name is Ravi Kapoor, may be summoned to record his version in the case, they said. Vidhu Vinod Chopra's upcoming film to be shot in Jammu migrant camps

Bollywood director Vidhu Vinod Chopra's upcoming movie on Kashmir will be shot in the migrant camps of Kashmiri Pandits here, an official said. "Vinod Chopra Films is scheduled to shoot his upcoming movie from March 27-April 7 in the migrant camps," said K K Sidha, deputy commissioner (relief), Jammu. He, however, said there would be no shooting on March 29 and 31, and April 4 at the camps, which are inhabited by Kashmiri Hindus, who were forced out of the Valley after the rise of militancy in the region in the early 90's. Chambal International Film fest to begin in Kota from March 10

The two-day Chambal International Film Festival, which would screen 160 films from across 28 countries will kick off in Kota from March 10. The film festival, organised by Anugoonj Media Pvt. Ltd at UIT auditorium here, would showcase at least 160 short films, documentaries, music videos and animation films. Surprised that govt has not responded to report on CBFC, says Shyam Benegal

Veteran filmmaker Shyam Benegal, who headed a committee to take a holistic look at the functioning of the controversy-ridden CBFC, says he is surprised that the government has not yet to responded to the recommendations made by them. "We haven't heard from the government at all. I am waiting when they will take a decision...whether they will say yes or no (to the recommendations). One wants to know if they are accepting only part of it or the entire (report). At the moment, there is total silence," Benegal told PTI. The Shimla Police on Wednesday booked veteran actor Jeetendra after his cousin lodged a complaint accusing him of sexual assault.On the complaint of the victim, the police registered a sexual molestation case under section 354 (assault on woman) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), in New Shimla.As per the complainant, Jeetendra sexually assaulted her in Shimla, in January 1971. 'Rampage' to hit theatres week early after 'Avengers' release date change

Warner Bros has moved up the release date of Dwayne Johnson-starrer "Rampage" in light of the Marvel's decision to shift "Avengers: Infinity War" from May 4 to April 27. "Rampage", which is directed by Brad Peyton and based on 1980s video game, will now hit the theatres on April 13 instead of its earlier announced date of April 20, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
