Noted Kannada actor Chandrashekhar passed away early this morning in Canada of a cardiac arrest, family sources said. He was 63, and is survived by his mother, wife and a daughter. The actor had recently returned to Canada, where he currently resides. He was hospitalized yesterday following uneasiness and pain, the family said, adding they received news of his demise early this morning. Chandrashekar rose to fame for his role in 'Edakallu Guddada Mele', directed by Puttanna Kanagal. He has acted in over 40 films, the last of which was '3 ghante, 30 dina, 30 secondu'. Leading Kannada actors like Srinath and Jai Jagadish, besides other film personalities visited the actor's residence here on coming to know of his death Chief Minister Siddaramaiah also tweeted condoling Chandrashekhars death. Police in Ankleshwar town of Gujarat today arrested two persons for allegedly thrashing a man for saying, 'despite being a Rajput', that he planned to watch the film "Padmaavat". According to the complainant Upendrasingh Jadhav, a resident of Vadodara, the incident took place on January 24 when he was visiting Ankleshwar. Sitting in a hotel, he was speaking on phone with a friend in Vadodara, asking him about the situation ahead of Padmaavat's release, and told him that as the film won't be released in Gujarat, he planned to travel to Mumbai to watch it. The accused, identified as Bhargavgsinh Padhiyar and Ranjit Fuvad, overheard him, and assaulted him saying 'how could he dare to watch the film, despite being a Rajput and despite the Karni Sena's appeal for the film's boycott', Jadhav told police. Actor Maisie Williams has said the first episode of "Game of Thrones" season eight will land in Arpil 2019. Earlier this month, HBO had confirmed that the epic fantasy show will return in 2019 for a six-episode final season, but the cable broadcaster had not specified the exact date or month. Talking to Metro newspaper, Williams revealed the month the hit drama is supposed to debut. "We wrap in December and we air our first episode in April (2019). That's a four-month turnaround for these huge episodes. There's a lot that goes into the final edit. You would not want to rush this season at all," Williams said.
