Actor Jon Bernthal has revealed that he had to drop out of a major Hollywood project after his daughter suffered a seizure and went into coma. In a profile published in Men's Health, the actor said that he was set to play Dave Scott in the Ryan Gosling-starrer space drama "First Man" but after he dropped out the part went to Christopher Abbott. He said his daughter Adeline was diagnosed with encephalitis, a potentially fatal viral infection that causes inflammation of the brain, when she was two. Adeline was in a coma for three days, and when she awoke she did not recognise her family. His credited his wife, Erin Angle, a trauma nurse, for helping Adeline by staying calm and "pouring love into our daughter every step of the way". "We are really advancing on getting a movie version (of the show) up on the screen. Neil is beavering away on writing this thing, and I think the remit for the film is to scale it up," Elba said. According to Indiewire, the actor was speaking at the launch of the fifth season of the series. Elba, 46, believes "Luther" has "all the ingredients to echo" films such as David Fincher's 1995 neo-noir crime thriller, "Seven". In an interview with MTV's podcast Happy Sad Confused, the "Vice" helmer said his take on the project would be similar to that of Wachowskis sister's "Speed Racer". "Silver Surfer is the one I want to do, man. I would do anything to do Silver Surfer because, visually, you could do what the Wachowskis did with 'Speed Racer' with the Silver Surfer," the 50-year-old director said. "At the same time, there's a great emotional story in there, man, where Norrin Radd (Silver Surfer) has to make the choice to save his planet. What did I say this time that I am being called a traitor? It is very strange," Shah told reporters here at his alma mater, St Anselm's Senior Secondary School. "I have to bear criticism. If they have the right to criticise, then I also have the same right. I am expressing concerns about the country I love, the country that is my home. How is that a crime?" he asked. Shah was .
