Tom Hanks may play Geppetto in Disney's live-action 'Pinocchio'

Veteran actor Tom Hanks is in early talks to play Geppetto in the upcoming live-action Disney film 'Pinocchio'.According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Oscar-winning actor may play the role of the puppet master in the adaptation which is being directed by Paul King of 'Paddington'.Based on the 1940 animated film, Pinocchio tells the story of a wooden puppet who wishes to become a real boy after being created by Geppetto. He is brought to life by a fairy, who tells him that he will become a real boy if he shows bravery.The project is being produced by Chris Weitz and his Depth of Field partner Andrew Miano. The script is by King, Weitz and King's 'Paddington' collaborator Simon Farnaby.In addition, Oscar winner Guillermo del Toro is writing and directing a stop-motion animated musical based on the story of Pinocchio for Netflix.

Gerard Butler's upcoming flick 'Angel Has Fallen' is all set to hit the big screens in the summer of 2019.The film, which will once again see Butler as Secret Service agent Mike Banning, will be out on August 23, 2019, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed.For the Ric Roman Waugh-directorial, the '300' star is joined by a cast that includes Morgan Freeman, Jada Pinkett Smith, Lance Reddick, Nick Nolte, Danny Huston, Piper Perabo, and Tim Blake Nelson.The flick follows Banning, who is framed for the attempted assassination of President Trumbull (Freeman) and must elude his own agency and the FBI as he tries to uncover the real threat.'Angel Has Fallen' is the third flick in the action-packed trilogy, after 'Olympus Has Fallen' and 'London Has Fallen'.While the first picture of the franchise grossed USD 170.3 million worldwide, the sequel managed to garner USD 205.9 million globally.

Level-2 fire doused on the sets of SRK's film 'Zero'

A level 2 fire that broke out on the sets of Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming movie 'Zero' has now been doused.The movie was shot inside Reliance Studio in the Film city premises, situated in the city's Goregaon. Fire breaks out on set of Shah Rukh-starrer "Zero" in Mumbai

Fire broke out on the set of Shah Rukh Khan-starrer film "Zero" in Mumbai's Film City Thursday, police said. The actor was present on the set when fire broke out in the evening but was unhurt and left the set later, police said. There are no reports of any casualty, Vinay Rathod, Deputy Commissioner of Police, said. It is not yet clear what caused the fire, he added. Movie '2.0' against unregulated growth of mobile services, COAI objections bogus: Production house

Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer '2.0' portrays the ill-effects of "unregulated growth of mobile services" and objections of the telecom industry are bogus, the film's production house Lyca Productions has said. Telecom industry body COAI had earlier this week requested the Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) to revoke the certification of the film, saying its trailers show mobile phones and towers in a bad light.
